About the artist
Phdr. Bedrich Vychodil became involved in painting through an exploration of various surreal activities. From an early age, his strong desire to express the surreal world through mind, words and matter has been a crucial component of his life.
This desire has finally anchored on the defined borders of "canvases of space" thanks to a portentous meeting with artist Vladislava Maria Zitova.
In 2004 leading from this meeting they held a successful joint exhibition in their hometown.
In the following year, Bedrich decided to fulfil his surreal dream to travel to mystical New Zealand, where he settled in the historic City of Dunedin. Here he has dedicated his time and focus on becaming fully involved in painting and studying.
In this latest exhibition in New Zealand, Bedrich is presenting a profile of his dream paintings called "The Dream".
